An educational information session for the lawyers and support staff at Women's Legal Service (SA). We'll discuss what divorce coaching actually is, and how it can support the women you work with.
In this session I'll cover
- What on earth a Divorce Coach actually is!
- Importantly - what a Divorce Coach isn't.
- Why overwhelmed clients struggle to take in legal advice, give clear instructions or prepare for mediation/FDR
- How a supported, well-regulated client communicates more constructively and stays focused on what matters most
- How coaching can works alongside legal supports and also before a client even needs ongoing legal support
- Why a divorce coach needs to 'stay in her lane' (I am not a therapist or a lawyer)
After 24 years as a Family Lawyer and Independent Children's Lawyer, I've now seen 'both sides of the fence'.
At the end of my presentation I can answer any questions you may have. The link will be via Zoom and be recorded. Even with your cameras on for the session, the recording will not capture you unless you are speaking. I can stop the recording at the end of my session so that you/your questions are not recorded.
